Ukrpatent was represented at the 30th Session of the PCT Committee for Technical Cooperation (CTC), 8 -12 May 2017. The meeting took place at the Headquarters of WIPO in Geneva, Switzerland in conjunction with the 10th Session of PCT Working Group meeting to assess the applications for reappointment of all existing International PCT Searching and Preliminary Examining Authorities and the application of one new authority seeking appointment as ISA and IPEA.

Ukrpatent was represented by the Head of the Division of Examination of Applications for Inventions, Utility Models and TIC Fedir Lutsenko, Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and Improvement of Examination of Applications for Inventions, Utility Models and TIC Yuliya Kolotilova, and Principal legal Counsel of the Law Department Yevgeniya Kalishenko.
The delegation of Ukrpatent made a presentation (advice) before CTC on the proposed extension of appointment of International Searching and Preliminary Examining Authority under the PCT, highlighting the benefits for the Authority and PCT system in general from its reappointment.
By the results of the presentation of Ukrainian delegation, the Committee unanimously agreed to recommend the extension of the appointment of Ukrpatent as an International Searching and Preliminary Examining Authority under the PCT to the Assembly of the PCT Union for the next ten years, starting from 2018.
