Technology and Innovation Support Centres
(TISCs)
Technology and Innovation Support Centers network (TISCs) – an international project of the World Intellectual Property Organization, which is implementing in Ukraine since 2018 under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on establishing Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) in Ukraine, dated July 26, 2018. The TISC project by WIPO has been implemented since 2009 in more than 80 countries.
15 regional centers have been opened in Ukraine for today, mainly under the higher education institutions in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Lviv, Dnipro, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Luhansk, and Vinnytsia.
Mission: to provide convenient and comprehensive consultations for applicants and support them in the sphere of IP in Ukraine and abroad, as well as awareness-raising of the IP acquisition, use and protection among SMEs, start-ups, inventors and creative industries.
TISC's list of competencies covers all possible issues of the IP acquisition, use and protection, as well as related issues by applicants that need to be solved.
TISC's educational work is aimed at raising awareness of ways of IP protection, development of the culture of consumption of IPR objects among the population and deepening communication with stakeholders of the innovative and creative environment of Ukraine.
