The work of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute" (Ukrpatent) on information support of the state system of the legal protection of intellectual property continues. According to the Deputy Director General, Head of the information support department of Ukrpatent Petro Ivanenko, the previously established work of the office in the remote mode and gradually established interaction in force-majeure circumstances provides for the possibility to perform priority measures to provide information support to the patent examination procedure, in particular:
► continuous communication is in place with providers of foreign commercial information resources, which provide Ukrpatent with access to the PCT minimum documentation (patent documentation and non-patent literature) via the Internet, and current issues are settled which guarantees uninterrupted access of examiners to relevant content; the work is underway to renew agreements on the use of the said commercial information resources;
► requests of examiners for sources of non-patent literature are processed and provided with the use of foreign commercial information resources, digitized collection of the reference and information file for examination purposes of the information support division, which is the part of electronic information resources of Ukrpatent, library collections of Kyiv (taking into account the special schedule of operation in the current conditions).
According to Oksana Parkheta, Deputy Head of the information support department of Ukrpatent, the website of WIPO is also monitored and documents of its respective committees, working groups related to patent information, documentation, and standardization are studied and processed for further consideration in the work carried out by Ukrpatent within the information support of the state system of intellectual property legal protection.
