The Public Patent Documents Collection (PPDC) is intended to provide access to patent information for the general public that is necessary for industrial property objects’ study and analysis in the process of their creation, legal protection and use. The PPDC has come into operation since October 1999 and is a part of Ukrpatent Patent Information Services, Consultations and Innovations Promotion Department and is located at the following address:

The PPDC consists of national and foreign patent documentation from 65 countries all over the world as well as from 4 international and regional organizations. It is represented on paper and electronic carriers. The bulk of the collection is comprised of patent offices' official bulletins. Patent specifications of foreign countries are presented on CD-ROM & DVD-ROM with 10-20 or more years back file. National patent documentation is presented on optical media since 2005. The PPDC is also supplied with scientific and technical literature, methodical, reference-information publications and periodicals.
The PPDC patent collection updated data are presented quarterly in the Ukrainian version of this web site and of Ukrpatent Patent Information Services, Consultations and Innovations Promotion Department web site (http://iii.ua/uk).
The total PPDC on optical media as of May 29, 2020 contains more than 34320 discs.
In April 2017 the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Publications Depository Library was opened as a part of the PPDC. The access to its publications is free of charge.
The PPDC provides patent-information services to the general public.
